8 months agoI've been playing tennis here for over 12 years now. Very strong junior program with a large team of young coaches. Head coach Paul, a former pro, is excellent. very nice and modern clubhouse with large tv good kitchen etc. Lots of teams for people to play in (I believe there are 3 men's 4 women's 2 mixed and 4 junior) club sessions organised by Derek are well attended and give you the opportunity to play against some 1st/2nd team players. Overall, Brilliant club would recommend.

a year agoLovely gem of a tennis club in the heart of Guildford. Level 5 coach, award winning, ex ATP pro, runs the junior program. He creates such a welcoming good vibe throughout the club. Members are like one big family. A fun and top notch environment for kids and adults alike.

2 years agoWhen I moved to Guildford, I was keen to meet people and play tennis. I had numerous lessons with the coach before I did my ‘play in’ audition infront of the committee. I was accepted into the club. However, after playing a few matches, the atmosphere was so unfriendly that I would arrive at the club and go home before entering. I had a court booked one evening with another established member and the old ladies on the court wouldn’t let us have the court. Paul, the coach, is great. Unfortunately his 1 hour lessons are now £65 per hour, rather than £45 less than a few years ago. It had been mentioned that the majority of the club are retired people who have nothing else to do and are unwelcoming. It’s a real shame. Beautiful club and location. As a confident person, I’ve never encountered a more unfriendly bunch of people in my entire life.
