Public Tennis Courts

Brand new tennis courts were installed in 2023 ( Ten at Victoria Park and three at Christchurch Gardens) Annual passes are very affordable (£57) and coaching is provided by We Do Tennis ( Mon-Sat) Free Park Tennis runs on a Saturday morning and there is league tennis for competitive players.

What was once free and available has become locked and chargeable as of May 2023. The positive is the charges are very low, especially for basketball. Not sure how often it gets booked, or if anyone moves you on once your time is up. As there are charges, wouldn't it be fair to add nets to all three hoops rather than just one?

Great courts - tend to be well taken care of usually and absolutely wonderful that they are free to use. Sometimes they are full of leaves and the nets have drooped, but that is usually fixed up by the time we go next. Great public service, really grateful for these whether on a sunny warm day or a wintery morning.
