Rutland Watersports

We spent our first day (late September 2025) with a sailing dinghy here. Marvellous time, very good facilities, friendly and most helpful staff. Car parking plentiful and ANPR based payment very easy. Terrific cafe nearby too. Looking forward to our next visit!

We (1 adult, 1 teenager and 1 child) had a wonderful experience with Rutland Watersports. We did an hours kayak with Peter D followed by a sailing taster experience with Sammy H. They looked after us so well especially as we were all different ages and experience levels. I would recommend heading down and getting involved. Thank you so much to the whole team for a wonderful experience!

A really good walk with the dogs. A great walk along a concrete path from one car park to another. It’s 8km in total and very accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Apart from the odd sheep, it’s a great place to let the dogs off as they can run around in lots of open space. There is a cafe at both ends which is always a bonus. There are lots of bikes but generally everyone is very courteous. Parking is £4 for 4 hours, and it’s cash, or contactless. The downside is lots of dog poo…so watch out if your little ones run in the grass around the car park area especially.
