a week agoGreat gym. Had membership here on-and-off between 2018 and 2025. Reasonable prices, spacious, and great facilities. You won't find better in Cambridge unless paying 2-3x the price, and it is much better than the offerings here in London. Relatively uncrowded, large amounts of room, new equipment. Some reviewers complain about the changing rooms but I found them to be good - much better than I'm used to elsewhere. As others have said, a swimming pool (or, IMHO, a sauna) would make this absolutely top-class, up there with David Lloyd and others. Beyond that, it wins in all areas. To top it off, it's a pleasant cycle ride to reach.

4 months agoIt's OK. If you time it right you can use the gym. If you want to go at 5pm you will struggle to use a machine or find a spot to work out on a mat, also the classes are fully booked almost immediately and there are not enough across the week. It's easier to get booked in last minute when people start to drop out.

4 months agoI’ve been a member on and off here for around eight years. It’s generally a great place. Showers not been upgraded once in the time I’ve been coming. It’s actually quite grotty. But the facilities are amazing in a lot of ways. My big gripe tho is the quite populous customer service team. Whenever I contact them for anything, usually around gym class bookings, but more recently I was asking about block booking the hall. They are amazingly rude! Like, in that institutional way. And pass agg about just about everything. Today I attended a class. Their check in service didn’t work on the door so I emailed after to say it didn’t work. I swiftly got a telling off saying I MUST make sure to make contact with a member of staff at the time. I have a job. I dont have time to chase someone down for their system not working. Also moving exercise classes out of studio for during exam times totally sucks. If I lived the other side of town, I’d go back to Nuffield in a moment! They just know how to speak to ppl and take care of basics like changing rooms/showers etc.
