3 months agoI joined Stratford Padel Club in August last year, so it's now been almost a year—and what a great year it's been! From the very start, the club has offered an amazing learning environment. I was lucky enough to take part in the Orange Academy, which was incredibly helpful for understanding positioning and strategy on court. I've also done several Train & Play sessions with a range of different coaches—each one bringing their own perspective and insights, all of which have really helped me grow as a player. On top of that, I’ve had private lessons with the club’s owner, Javi, whose coaching has been invaluable. Every single staff member I've met has treated me with respect and kindness, and has always encouraged me—regardless of my level of play. That welcoming attitude makes such a difference. What I love most, though, is the social side of the club. There's a real sense of community here. Whether you're joining a mix-in, training, or just coming for a casual hit, there’s always a friendly face and a great vibe. It’s a fantastic way to improve your padel, stay active, and connect with people. And with opportunities to play seven days a week, it’s perfect for anyone who wants to get seriously hooked! Highly recommend Stratford Padel Club to players of all levels.

3 weeks agoA fantastic spot if you want to try or regularly play padel in London. The courts are well-maintained, the facilities are modern, and the whole place has a really welcoming vibe. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced player, it’s easy to book a session and join in. The staff are friendly and always ready to explain the basics or help set up games. They also organize social matches and events, which makes it a great place not just for sport, but also for meeting people. The location near Stratford is very convenient, with good transport links and plenty of food/coffee spots nearby to hang out after a game. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a fun and active way to spend your time in London. It’s addictive once you start playing!

3 months agoI’m a padel player visiting from abroad (rated 5.0/7) and was genuinely looking forward to playing at this club during my short stay in London. I contacted them in advance, explained that I’m only in the UK for one week, and asked if I could join matches. I expected a warm and welcoming experience—but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. They informed me that I needed to join a “startup” session first to receive a rating on the Stratford app before being allowed to join open matches. I completely understand the need for such a system—but the earliest available startup session was scheduled 8 days after I contacted them, which was two days after my departure. Despite explaining my situation clearly, there was no flexibility or effort to accommodate me as a short-term visitor. I then visited the club in person, hoping to speak to someone directly. The staff member at the front desk (not sure of his exact role) seemed uninterested and dismissive, treating me as though I was inconveniencing him. When I asked if there were any open matches that evening or the next day—both of which were visible on the Stratford app—he simply said “no” without explanation or assistance. It felt disrespectful and misleading. The club itself also didn’t meet expectations. The roof is inclined, starting from around 5 meters—which severely limits play for intermediate and advanced players who rely on lobs and overhead shots. The indoor court was also quite hot, with no functioning air conditioning or proper ventilation. As someone who owns 10 padel courts in my home country and is actively involved in promoting the sport, I was hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, both the customer service and the playing environment fell far short of what visiting players deserve.
